Goals of the Association:
The association River Collective, whose activities are not profit-oriented, operates internationally and aims to protect the environment, especially rivers and their floodplains. Organizations, scientific institutions, groups, and individuals are brought together for the protection of flowing waters and supported in their activities. Nature, animals, biodiversity, and ecosystem services should be preserved through interdisciplinary collaborations and preserved from human interventions. Additionally, we promote a strong and healthy human-nature relationship and an improvement of the natural status of already impacted rivers, their basins, and valleys through these collaborations.
Basic direction of the website:
River Collective is an association for the interdisciplinary collaboration for the protection of rivers. Our ambition is to raise awareness of the importance of free-flowing and healthy rivers. We do so through our online and in-person projects and events. This website provides information about our association and its activities. The site supports fundraising efforts for activities for the global protection of rivers.
