Greenhouse Gas Emission on the Danube River in Romania
With a collaborator from Romania, The Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (EAWAG) are measuring greenhouse gas emissions from the Iron Gates Reservervoir, the largest dam on the Danube river.
The project just started and will run until the end of the year, with an analysis phase afterwards. It addresses the question how much CO2 equivalents are emitted per kWh of electricity produced in this 2.2 MW power plant.
